The SPE System Alliance with the Multimedia Solutions BU of the Prysmian Group as a member can be pleased: With over 1500 registered participants from 60 countries, the SPE Technology Days, which were held for the first time on 22 and 23 September 2020, were a complete success. The successful kick-off event served the digital exchange of knowledge around the future topic: Single Pair Ethernet (SPE).
The organisers of the Technology Days are fully satisfied with the high level of participation and the consistently positive response to the first digital conference on SPE. The numerous application-oriented presentations on SPE and the subsequent discussion rounds were very well received by the participants. The presentations showed the state of development of physical layers (PHYs), cables, connection technology and devices. They also highlighted use cases from the application environments of automotive, building automation and factory automation. The thematically broad positioning of the System Alliance proved to be a great advantage here. The Multimedia Solutions (MMS) BU of the Prysmian Group presented its new Draka S1NGLE cable series for implementing IIoT and BIoT environments as part of its presentations on innovative SPE cables.
Since its foundation, the SPE System Alliance has been growing steadily. Only recently, the companies Vericom, EFB Elektronik, EBV Elektronik and Techno joined the alliance. With 18.08.2020 as the founding date, the Alliance was transferred into regular association structures.
