UC FIBRE 432: Fireproof, waterproof, flexible

Users should be aware that combined indoor/outdoor cables must be absolutely waterproof according to the current EN 60794-1. The Multimedia Solutions BU of the Prysmian Group has the right solution here: the fibre optic loose tube cables of the N series in fibre counts up to 432. They are currently the only cables on the market that combine high water resistance with a fire protection class of up to B2ca.

The non-metallic, gel-filled and stranded loose tube cables of the Draka N-Series score particularly well with their high fire safety. As part of the UC cabling system, they fully meet the high requirements of the CPR fire protection classes Cca and B2ca. With their FireRes® LSHF-FR sheathing, they are suitable for both indoor and outdoor installations. The gel-filled waterproof loose tubes are extremely robust and resistant to mechanical impact and environmental influences. Due to the industry-leading coating technology used in Draka's fibre manufacturing process, BendBright-XS offers a 100-fold improvement in macrobending compared to conventional single-mode fibres.

The Draka N-Series portfolio includes non-metallic, gel-filled, stranded indoor and outdoor loose tube cables in units of 6, 8, 12 or 18, with each unit containing 12 or 24 fibres. All cables meet the requirements of ISO 11801-1, EN 50173-1, IEC 60794-1, TIA GR20, ICEA 640 and ICEA 696.
