Invitation to the Webinar: "PoE- Power from the Network
In our webinar "Two birds with one stone" on the topic of Power over Ethernet (PoE) on 18 June 2020 at 10 a.m. with Zoran Borcic, Product Manager Copper Data, you will learn which PoE data cables are best suited for maximum PoE efficiency depending on the spatial conditions. We will also inform you how to easily calculate the necessary shortening of the maximum transmission distance according to the temperature increase.
We cordially invite you. Click here to register.
The power of the future is called Power over Ethernet (PoE). The potential of this technology has grown steadily over the last five years. Trends such as IoT, smart cabling and network-enabled end devices in offices, warehouses and production facilities require both data and power. PoE delivers both via a single cable. Companies benefit from many advantages.
Most devices on the market now have Ethernet switches. This allows devices to be supplied with power and data simultaneously via a single cable, independent of the power grid. The new technology is particularly advantageous in installation locations where power lines are difficult or impossible to lay. Thanks to PoE, separate power connections can be omitted and the effort for installing network devices is reduced. Another advantage is the increased fail-safety of the connected devices via a central and uninterruptible power supply (UPS).
The webinar will focus on the following topics:
- The evolution of PoE standards, all good things come in threes
- The impact of PoE on cabling
- How you can increase PoE efficiency
- Guidelines to support cabling planning
